VIDEO: Huge Windsor Crowd Says Thanks to First Responders

Share with Friends

Thousands of Windsor residents turned out Sunday morning on the city’s Town Green to extend a massive thank you to firefighters and other first responders who saved the town from the fury of the Kincade Fire.

The sign-waving crowd swelled into the thousands as a picture and video were taken from an aerial view point, destined to be shared with each and every fire and police agency that was involved in the massive effort to stop the flames from burning into the city.

The city of Windsor has created a social media presence #WindsorTogether in order to share their story with the world.  At the gathering mayor Dominic Foppoli told the crowd the city may well have burned, except for the work of hundreds of firefighters who made a stand on the city’s eastern edge one week ago.
