Storm Poised to Deliver Another Half to Full Inch of Rain Across North Bay

An impressive looking storm system is sweeping into Northern California Wednesday afternoon (Image 1), and will bring beneficial rain to the region. Another system may bring a few showers Tuesday before dry weather sets in until the last couple days of December.

Rain will begin in the afternoon Wednesday, spreading south through the Bay Area through Wednesday night. Rain will turn to showers Thursday morning. High resolution models are still predicting storm totals of a third to a half inch of rain, with an inch or more in the mountains of the North Bay. (Images 2 and 3)

Looking ahead, we may be brushed with a few showers Tuesday and then a ridge will bring dry weather until the last few days of the month. (Image 4)

The storm door may reopen as January approaches. Although most models hold off on rain until the 28th or later, the European model is hinting at a storm arriving late on Christmas Day. We will just have to wait and see! (Image 5)
