Snow? Possible Across Sonoma County

Share with Friends

A very cold storm will track across Sonoma County and the North Bay today, clearing out by Tuesday.  And, if you’re up early enough, you may even see a few snowflakes across Santa Rosa, Rohnert Park and other valley locations early Tuesday morning.

As you can see in this high resolution model, snow will be dusting the hills of Sonoma County by early Tuesday, with a few flakes possible in valley locations.

Snow was already falling Monday afternoon on the 4341 foot summit of Mount St. Helena.

And as the storm moves out of the region, some of the coldest air of the season will arrive, pushing the freezing line well into Sonoma County, and dropping the temperature into the upper 20s in many parts of the County by early Wednesday morning.

So, pull out the blankets to protect the citrus, especially Tuesday and Wednesday mornings.  Looking ahead, more cold, stormy weather may be inbound for Friday and the coming weekend.
