The latest runs of the European model are now showing up to a half inch of rain for the valleys of the North Bay late Saturday and Sunday. (Image 1)
The National Blend of Models is almost as high (Image 2), and the Canadian has also trended slightly wetter. (Image 3) Conservatively we can expect anywhere from a quarter inch to half inch of beneficial rain across many areas of the North Bay by Monday.
The storm (Image 4) seen via satellite on Friday, is tapping into copious moisture for June.
The moisture stream (Image 5) is many times what is “normal” for June. (Image 6)
All of this is positive news as a big heatup is still forecast for Thursday the 9th into the following weekend, and perhaps beyond. Temperatures may reach 100-110 in the Central Valley, and may top 100 in the warmest spots of the North Bay Thursday and Friday. (Image 7)
