Santa Rosa Officer Honored

Share with Friends

The first Sonoma County law enforcement officer to succumb to the coronavirus was honored at the Santa Rosa Police Department today.

Well-wishers left spontaneous offerings of flowers outside the police department main entrance, where the flag flew at half-mast in honor of detective Marylou Armer, who passed away on Tuesday.  Armer was a department veteran, with more than 20 years of service.

So far, 8 Santa Rosa Police Department employees have tested positive for the coronavirus, and many more are in self quarantine due to possible exposure. 107 total departmental members have been tested.

A fund has been set up for the officer’s family. If you’d like to contribute, you can find more information here.
