“Once in Five Year Storm” Due in this Weekend

Share with Friends

A deep area of cold low pressure that National Weather Service forecasters say resembles a once in five year event for mid May, is due to arrive with moderate to heavy rain, and cooler temperatures this weekend.

Here is the rather impressive storm approaching California on satellite.

The storm will spread rain across the North Bay beginning late Saturday, and continuing off and on into Monday.  The cool pool of air will bring a chance of thunderstorms early in the week.

Rainfall amounts look moderate…anywhere from a half to a full inch of rain in the valleys of the North Bay, and more in the hills.  Take an umbrella if you’ll be outdoors this weekend!
