MORE STORMS LIKELY IN THE FIRST WEEK OF JANUARY

The Friday storm that dropped one half to three inches of rain across the North Bay is fizzling out over Southern California today, while our skies clear. Here’s a look at selected rainfall amounts across the region.

Notable totals included 1.65 inches at Sonoma County Airport, 2.84 inches at Austin Creek, 2.82 inches at Venado and 2.5 inches at Occidental.

A few showers may pass to our west on Sunday the 31st, but that storm will likely miss us.

The forecast models are in agreement that our next chance for rain should come on Wednesday the 3rd, with a second storm possible on Saturday the 6th. More updates to come as the forecast evolves.
