MODERATE HEAT WARNING EXTENDED TO MONDAY
The National Weather Service has extended a warning for moderate heat risk impacting inland areas of the Bay Area, including the North Bay, through the weekend.
An upper level high pressure center off the Pacific NW coast will extend a ridge over California through Monday. That ridge looks to be a bit stronger and long-lasting than earlier predicted.

As of Thursday afternoon, temperatures were running a few degrees ahead of Wednesday, except along the coast.

Inland high temperatures will bump up into the 90-100 degree range from Thursday through Sunday, and perhaps into Monday across the North Bay, and other inland areas of the Bay Area.
Here’s Friday’s outlook. You can see a few areas may top 100 degrees. The immediate coast will stay in the 60s and 70s.

It’ll be pretty much a repeat of this for Saturday and Sunday. Then by Monday we should see a stronger ocean breeze and cooling push into the North Bay.

Looking further ahead temperatures may return to the 80s inland by the middle of the coming week. Stay tuned for updates!
