HEAT FOLLOWED BY CHANCE OF THUNDER, LIGHTNING

Share with Friends
As the high pressure ridge responsible for our weekend heat slowly moves east, subtropical moisture drawn north on its western edge will reach Northern California.
That moisture is visible in this water vapor satellite view Sunday. A disturbance, visible in the satellite loop, will ride along with the moisture possibly setting off a few showers or thunderstorms late Sunday into early Monday.
The NWS puts the chances at about 15% for the North Bay. Any dry lightning that occurs will increase the chance of fire starts across the region.
In this satellite loop view, yellow and orange represents dry air, while enhanced moisture is represented by white and blue.
