FORECAST TRENDING WETTER FOR MONDAY-TUESDAY

Share with Friends

The weather forecast for the North Bay is trending in a wetter direction, with better model agreement of a decent early season rain from midday Monday into early Tuesday.  In general, heavier rain will fall to the north.

It will also cool down, a lot, with highs from the mid 60s Monday to perhaps the low 70s Tuesday. A very dramatic change from our current heat wave.

A deep low will sag south, dragging a cold front with rain over the North Bay Monday morning or early afternoon.

Rainfall totals? As we said, trending wetter, but still widely variable. If the wetter models are right, we could see up to a half inch of rain in central Sonoma County. Or we could get much less.

Four different models, with four different outcomes as of late Friday.

Overall however, the trend is wetter over the past 24 hours. We’ll update the outlook as the forecast changes.
