If you need help recovering from flood damage across Sonoma County, the County of Sonoma has set up debris removal sites, a community information event, and is opening a Local Assistance Center on Sunday March 3rd in Guerneville.  Read on for more information about these services.

For Flooding Victims

A Local Assistance Center, staffed by a variety of governmental and not for profit agencies, will open on Sunday March 3rd at the former Bank of America building on Main Street in Guerneville.  The Sunday hours will be 12-6, and then from 9AM to 6PM from Monday through Saturday March 4-9.

Answers to questions, applications for various services and resources, will be available.  Some of the agencies on hand will be,

Sonoma County

  • Permit Sonoma – Permits for Repairs
  • Sonoma Human Services – Applications for CalFreshfood benefits and MediCal
  • Sonoma Health Services – Animal Services, Environmental Health, Behavorial Health resources
  • Sonoma Community Development Commission – Housing needs

State of California

  • DMV – Driver’s Licenses or ID Cards (Monday through Saturday)
  • Department of Insurance – Insurance Support (Monday through Saturday)
  • Contractors State Licensing Board – Contracting Support and Services

Non-Profits – United Policyholders (Wed-Thurs), American Red Cross, Salvation Army

Debris Drop Off Locations and Hours

Non Toxic Materials Only – Proof of Residence Required

Forestville/Rio Nido

  • 8AM-3PM, March 2-4, Forestville Park and Ride, Sunset Beach River Park

Guerneville

  • 8AM-3PM, March 2-4, Guerneville Park and Ride, Pee Wee Golf and Arcade

Monte Rio

  • 8AM-3PM, March 2-4, Monte Rio Community Center

Cazadero

  • 8AM-3PM, March 2-4, 6125 Cazadero Hwy, at Cazadero General Store
