Fire Camera Network Moves Forward
Firefighters across the North Bay will soon have a new high tech tool to detect and battle wildfires. An ambitious plan to install fire detection cameras on Sonoma County mountaintops is moving forward.
Supervisors gave the go ahead for a project that will place eight high definition cameras on peaks throughout the region.
As Karl Van Amburg reports, these new eyes in the sky…are just the first of what will soon be a growing network.
