Cal Fire Confirms Glass Fire Quiet Across Sonoma County

Share with Friends
Cal Fire, Sonoma County and Santa Rosa officials confirmed at an 11 a.m. Friday press conference that the fire lines on the west and south sides of the Glass Fire remain intact and in good shape.
This follows a night in which the highest predicted winds did not materialize across the North Bay. However fire officials north and east of Calistoga and in the area of Angwin continue to battle difficult, hot, low humidity firefighting conditions as the fire continues to spread in that area.
One additional night of Red Flag conditions will take place Friday into the early morning hours of Saturday. The Red Flag Warning is in place until 6 a.m. on Saturday. The National Weather Service is still expecting an increase in winds in the late afternoon and evening hours of Friday with gusts possible up to 35 miles per hour on some peaks across Sonoma and Napa counties.
Images below show the fire lines as of Friday morning October 2nd, both in Cal Fire briefing format and in perimeter format.
