BIG WINDS, MORE RAIN AS LOW PRESSURE INTENSIFIES OFF SONOMA COAST

Share with Friends

By Sunday morning a deep low pressure system was intensifying off the Northern California coast. The atmospheric river moisture feed had moved into Southern California.

The low pressure center will continue to deepen on Sunday, and bring extremely high winds to the North Bay as well as most of California.

By Sunday afternoon, wind gusts could reach 50 mph in the valleys of the North Bay and 60-70 just off the coast. A high wind warning has been issued for the entire region.

Wind gusts by midday Sunday were already ramping up across the region.

Besides wind, we can also expect quite a bit more rain, 1 to 2 inches with more in the hills, before the storm moves out of the region late Monday.
