A RAINY, WINDY WEEKEND AHEAD

Share with Friends

An intense storm spinning off the Northern California coast will bring periods of moderate to heavy rain to the Bay Area and North Bay through Monday.

Here is the storm late Friday as the rain began across the North Bay.

Several periods of rain and high winds will sweep across the region. The first pulse will come late Friday into Saturday, then another on Sunday.  Some models show a final storm arriving on Monday.

A Wind Advisory has been issued for much of the Bay Area including the North Bay through 1PM Saturday.

By Monday, the North Bay may see 2-4 inches of additional rainfall, with up to 5 inches falling in the hills of Sonoma, Lake and Mendocino Counties.

After Tuesday, a dry period may set in through mid-January.
