Volunteers Step Up as Homeless Village Prepares for Opening

As the controversial Los Guilicos homeless village near Oakmont prepares to open its doors, county staff and operator St. Vincent de Paul are hard at work on a suite of on-site services designed to help lift residents out of homelessness.

At the same time, volunteers have arrived to lend a hand, many of them from the Oakmont community itself.
