Thunderstorms, Lightning Hit Sonoma County

Share with Friends

A line of strong thunderstorms passed through Sonoma and Napa counties around noon on Thursday, unleashing lightning, thunder, high winds, hail and heavy rain.

Here is how the line looked on radar.

Here is a map of lightning strikes across the North Bay as the storm moved through.

The storms were set off by a low pressure center moving inland across northern California and Oregon.

The storm should move out of the North Bay by late on Thursday as the low pressure trough finally moves inland.  Sunny skies and warming temperatures will arrive Friday, and continue through the weekend.
