As the North Bay cools by 10 degrees Wednesday, a significant push of monsoonal moisture from the Southwest has entered California. Thundershowers were over SCal early Wednesday and the activity has moved into the southern Sierra and San Joaquin Valley. (Images 1 and 2) Lightning strikes can be seen as white marks in image 2.
This activity is expected to approach the Bay Area and Sacramento Areas Wednesday afternoon, but stay mostly to our east, and south.
Here are two looks at where shower activity (with possible embedded thundershowers) may be late Wednesday afternoon. (Images 3 and 4)
Meanwhile, temperatures are expected to cool by 10-15 degrees today from Tuesday (Image 5), into the high 80s and low 90s. (Image 6)
