Supervisors Declare Emergency, Delay Action on Joe Rodota Camp

The huge and visible homeless encampment on Santa Rosa’s Joe Rodota Trail has forced Sonoma County Supervisors to consider emergency action to deal with the crisis.

At Tuesday’s packed board meeting, lawmakers listened as county staff laid out plans for a rapid response to the homeless crisis, one patterned after the region’s response to natural disasters.
