SR Police Chief Ray Navarro on Protests and Response

In the wake of historic protests and demonstrations in Santa Rosa and the nation over the death of George Floyd and others held by police, News of the North Bay sat down with Santa Rosa police chief Ray Navarro to ask specific questions about the response of his department, police tactics, the use of force, and in his view, what has gone right, and what hasn’t.

Although Navarro is not wearing a mask at our request, the crew was, and the interview was done using proper social distancing.
