Sonoma County “Warm Line” Offers Emotional Support

Share with Friends

If you’re suffering emotional stress or anxiety as a result of shelter-in-place, Sonoma County will soon have a support line where you can share your feelings with a friendly, helpful trained counselor.

Beginning Thursday, the county will have a so called “warm line” up and running, designed to assist anyone having trouble coping with any aspect of the coronavirus emergency and shelter-in-place restrictions.

The phone line will be manned by qualified behaviorial health professionals, who are there to provide support, guidance, education and if necessary, referrals.  Those who call in can also request outreach to someone they know who may be in need of a helpful voice, or emotional support.

The line will be available seven days a week, from 10AM to 7PM.  The number to call is 707 565-2652.  Spanish speaking assistance will be available, as will interpretation in other languages.

If needed, those manning the warm line will be able to refer callers to county services including mental health assistance, substance abuse counseling, shelter referrals and an array of other needs.
