Record Winds Overnight, Gusts Slowly Decreasing

Share with Friends

As of 10:30AM Sunday morning, winds continue to roar across the North Bay.  Gusts above 70 miles per hour were still being seen on Mt. St. Helena, Pine Flat Road, and in other high elevation sites in Sonoma and Napa Counties.

The good news is that winds are forecast to gradually diminish throughout the day.  While they may pick up Sunday night after 8PM, a wind event as strong as Saturday night’s is not expected.  By Monday morning, winds should return to near normal.

The highest winds gusts overnight were 103MPH at the PG&E automated station on Pine Flat Road at 3300 feet, 93MPH at the Healdsburg Hills North station at 2500 feet, 82MPH at Mt. St. Helena at 4400 feet, and 75MPH on Mt. Hood.

Current gusts as of 10:30AM
