LIVE from the Kincade Fire east of Geyserville

As of 2am Thursday, the Kincade Fire had grown to more than 5 thousand acres, and is burning east of Highway 128, east of Geyserville. Evacuations have been carried out for rural areas east of Geyserville, along Hwy 128, and other areas roads.  An evacuation warning for possible evacuations was issued for Geyserville, as well as rural areas north of Healdsburg.  The fire began around 9:30 PM Wednesday night in high winds near the Geysers Geothermal Field, and fire crews from throughout the region have been rushing to the blaze over the past hours.

Zero percent containment was reported as of 2AM Thursday.

Reporter Karl Van Amburg filed this live report from along Hwy 128 as evacuations were underway.
