Kincade Fire Smoke Covers Region

Share with Friends

Winds from the north are bringing smoke from the 22 thousand acre Kincade Fire near Geyserville south, obscuring skies across the North Bay and much of the greater Bay Area.

Friday morning, visibilities were down to 3 miles in smoke at the Sonoma County Airport.

The Friday satellite picture shows the smoke being blown south, and then out to sea. The smoke is forecast to continue to spread south driven by northwest winds, potentially affecting operations at airports in the Bay Area, and by Saturday may spread as far south at the Monterey Bay Area.
