Heat Advisory Issued – Triple Digit Temps Coming

Share with Friends

After a very warm start to the week, daytime temperatures across the inland North Bay are about to get downright hot.  We’re talking 100-110 in the warmest spots by Thursday.  No strong winds are forecast, so extreme fire danger is not predicted.

The National Weather Service has issued a Heat Advisory for the North Bay and other inland Bay Area locations, from Wednesday at 11AM, to Thursday at 8PM.

In the satellite view, you can see the coastal cloud deck being compressed as high pressure builds over Northern California from the desert Southwest.

Here’s what the models show by Thursday.  A high pressure ridge (red) sitting along the west coast.

And, here are the forecast temperatures for Wednesday and Thursday.

The coast will stay cooler, but still top out in the mid 70s.  The weekend looks to cool off to near normal, but long range forecasts predict another heat up for next week.

Forecast High Temperatures August 14th and 15th.
