Early July 4th Weekend Outlook – Near Perfection

Share with Friends

It may be a bit early, but we thought we’d go out on a limb and provide an early look at the upcoming Independence Day weekend forecast, for July 4th through the 7th.

Even though we’re more than a week out, it looks like barring the unexpected, Holiday Weekend weather across the North Bay should be flawless.

Ok, now the details.  As you can see, a low pressure trough centered over the West Coast is keeping us unusually cool today, and has mixed out most of the fog from the coastline.

You can also see high clouds drifting over as well.

That trough of low pressure will keep us cooler than normal through Friday.  Then a slight warm up is expected this weekend as the trough fills and moderates.

Looking further ahead, we should see a slight warm up to normal temperatures next week, and into the Independence Day weekend.  No big heat waves expected, just nice weather.

Check out how cool we are, compared to normal today.  The blues are below average temperatures. Most of California is quite cool.

Now check out the forecast for July 4th.  Lots of reds, joining the blues.  That means near normal temperatures and no heat waves expected.  Think highs inland, places like Santa Rosa, Petaluma, Windsor, Sebastopol and Healdsburg, in the 80s.  The coast in the 60s to low 70s.

And, at this point at least, very little fog expected to interfere with fireworks displays.

So there you have it.  An early look at the big Holiday Weekend.  Pretty nice!
