Big Warm Up Begins. 80s for North Bay.

Share with Friends

For all of those North Bay gardeners out there, the stay-at-home orders have one positive effect….they provide extra time to work in the yard.  And with the first big warm up of spring set to arrive, this is perfect time to plant a garden!

The satellite view shows high pressure beginning to push in over California and sending the storm track off to our north.

The extensive fog layer of the past few days is being compressed, and will be far less extensive.

As high pressure nudges in, temperatures will rise steadily, and the low cloud deck will be mixed out.

This is the outlook for Friday. High pressure will strengthen all week, and remain strong into the week of the 27th.

On Tuesday the warm up will take us into the 70s, and it will take off from there through the week. Highs in most parts of Sonoma County and the North Bay are expected to reach the 80s by Wednesday and Thursday.

And right now it looks like temperatures in the mid 70s to low 80s will be with us for ten days or more, into the first week of May.

Around the 4-6th of May, we could see a few showers drop in from the north, but that far out it’s just guesswork at this point.

For now, we have more than a week of warm spring weather ahead.  Get out, work in the garden, or take a walk to soak it all in!
