3 Days of Wet Headed Our Way

Share with Friends

A pair of low pressure systems are headed to the North Bay over the next 3-4 days, and together should drop a total of 1.5 to 3 inches of rain across our region by Saturday.

You can see the forecast here. Although the storms will weaken before they reach us, we should get some beneficial rain.

The first storm will be focused on Northern California while the second will bring rain further south across the state.

The rainfall forecast hasn’t changed much in the past 24 hours, with about an inch or more expected from the first storm arriving Wednesday morning, and up to 2 inches from the second system on Friday through Saturday.

Looking further ahead, after a two day break the rain may resume by the middle of next week.

In the forecast loop above you can see a third storm arriving at the end. After dry days from Sunday the 31st through Tuesday the 2nd, the models suggest a third storm may arrive on Wednesday the 3rd and bring a nice dose of rain to much of California.

Still, it’s too far out in the future for any reliable rainfall estimates, but we’ll keep you up to date as the forecast evolves.
