Triple Digit Temperatures Coming – Heat, Red Flag Warnings Issued

Get ready for scorching heat as the highest temperatures of the season are on the way to the North Bay. As the low pressure trough that brought us a short cool down heads east on Saturday, the heat will set in quickly for Sunday and Monday.

Heat advisories have been issued for the entire Bay Area, and Red Flag warnings are up areas north and east of the Bay Area where winds up to 45 miles an hour are forecast for Saturday. That includes the North Bay above 1000 feet.

High temperatures in the hottest areas like Healdsburg, Windsor, Cloverdale and Calistoga are forecast to easily break 100 degrees.

Heat advisories include the entire Bay Area.

As high pressure builds in the Pacific Northwest, offshore winds will develop keeping the beach areas clear and allowing temperatures to soar into the upper 70s to mid 80s even along the coast for Sunday and Monday.

The good news is that by Monday night, a surge of cooling along the coast is forecast, and by Tuesday things will be cooling off inland, with daytime highs returning to the upper 70s and low 80s in most areas through the remainder of the coming week.
