TRENDING WETTER NEXT WEEK FOR THE NORTH BAY

Share with Friends

Two storms due in this coming week will bring significant rain to the North Bay region. These won’t be deluges by any stretch, but they will bring the region more moisture than we’ve yet seen this fall.

You can see the first storm, due in Monday, winding up in the NE Pacific.

A cold front will arrive sometime Monday, probably in the morning, bringing widespread rainfall.

A reasonable estimate for this first storm is about one third, to one half inch of rain by Tuesday across the North Bay. Of course the hills could see a bit more.

After partial clearing Tuesday, clouds will increase Wednesday with another storm inbound late in the day.

This one looks to be very similar to the Monday night system, bringing light to moderate rain totals of perhaps a third of an inch or a bit more across the region.

All told, by Friday the North Bay may see anywhere from a half inch to an inch of rainfall from the two systems. Parts of Mencocino County could see more than two inches of rain.

Looking a week out, a third storm may arrive next Sunday the 17th. But this is too far out for any certainty. However several models show at least some additional moisture arriving then.

Overall, the next two weeks look to be cool and somewhat wet for the state of California. Pretty fall-like.

We’ll have more updates in the coming days as the forecast evolves.
