STORM WILL SPIN UP SHOWERS INTO WEDNESDAY

Share with Friends
As a beautiful mid lattitude cyclone spins off the Oregon-California coast Tuesday afternoon, the main rain band and sharply-defined cold front have passed through the North Bay as seen in the Tuesday satellite loop.
As the deep low pressure center continues to spin south and east in the next 24 hours, we can expect more showers, heavy at times, into midday Wednesday.
The wettest spots of the region, like Venado, Cazadero and Gualala have already received 2-3 inches of rain, while the Sonoma County Airport received 1.2 inches, and totals around 1.5 inches were common across the North Bay.
1/2 to 1 1/2 inches of additional rain is possible by Thursday before the storm passes out of our area.
