Sonoma County Flooding Updates
- The Russian River continues to rise, having passed 41 feet Wednesday morning at Guerneville, on its way to 46 feet at 10pm Wednesday, the highest crest in 23 years.
- The Russian River at Healdsburg is near 27 feet, 4 feet over flood stage resulting in moderate flooding to the north and south of Healdsburg.
- All roads in and out of Guerneville were closed as of 4AM, the Sonoma Sheriff’s office reporting on Twitter that Guerneville is an Island as of 5AM.
- Mandatory evacuations have been ordered for communities along Russian River. Link for more information http://nixle.us/ASDYN
- At 6AM, new shelters for those evacuated opened at Santa Rosa Veterans Building and Healdsburg Community Center. Other shelters are at Sebastopol Center for the Arts and Sonoma County Fairgrounds, Grace Pavilion.
- Traffic along River Road, the main artery into Guerneville is being held at Forestville.
- Highway 37 is closed at Atherton Avenue due to flooding.
