Santa Rosa, Other School Districts Start Free Meals on Monday

Share with Friends

The Santa Rosa City School District, the largest in Sonoma County, will begin distributing free meals to children and teens in the community beginning on Monday, March 23rd at 9 sites across the city.

The district superintendent says the meals will be available to all children in the county, from any school district.  The food will be distributed “to go” via drive up or walk up service.  The meals are for any child up through age 18, just so they are a student enrolled in a district in Sonoma County.

The meal pickups, which will consist of lunch and the next day’s breakfast in a single bundle, will be available Monday through Friday, from 11:30AM to 1PM at the following locations:

  • Brook Hill Elementary – 1850 Vallejo St

  • Burbank Elementary – 203 S A St

  • Cook Middle School – 2480 Sebastopol Rd

  • Elsie Allen High School – 599 Bellevue Ave

  • Lewis Education Center – 2230 Lomitas Ave

  • Lincoln Elementary – 850 W 9th St

  • Monroe Elementary – 2567 Marlow Rd

  • Piner High School – 1700 Fulton Rd

  • Santa Rosa Middle School – 500 E St

Santa Rosa School’s Child Nutrition Services will also be providing meal services for a variety of smaller districts throughout the county.

If you’d like to find a school meal spot near you, call your local district.  Many will be providing food locally, with assistance from Santa Rosa City Schools.
