Rain Wed Afternoon-Thurs, and Again Friday
At 3PM Wednesday, the low pressure system 500 miles west of the Bay Area was spinning off waves of showers. The latest rain band was approaching the Bay Area on satellite.
The rain will continue with showers from Wednesday afternoon into early Thursday. Not big totals, but perhaps a quarter to a third of an inch in most spots across the North Bay. Of course, places like Cazadero and Venado in the hills can expect more, up to three quarters of an inch by Thursday afternoon.
Another shot of rain will come on Friday as the low pressure center finally moves onshore. The models don’t agree on exactly where it will head, and how much rain it will bring. The WPC and National Blend of Models show about another full inch for places in the North Bay, but the Euro and GFS models are currently forecasting about half that.
Once the low pressure center ejects eastward out of California, dry and warming weather will return for the start of Thanksgiving Week.
