RAIN, BLUSTERY THROUGH MIDWEEK

Share with Friends

Rain will slowly add up across the North Bay over the next three days, eventually exceeding 1 inch in the wettest spots. A significant storm for the end of March/early April!

You can see the storm pushing in on Sunday. There will be lots of showers continuing through Monday and even into Tuesday.

Here’s a look at projected rain around midday on Monday.

Totals from the storm should be fairly impressive for spring, about a half inch to two inches depending on where you are in the North Bay. Up it the hills and north of Sonoma County totals will be higher.

There is still quite a spread in projected rainfall across the various models.

Here is the forecast rainfall through Tuesday. The European below is the wettest, and the National Blend of Models is drier.

In any case, we’ll get a pretty good dose of moisture and lots of snow is predicted in the Sierra by Wednesday, 30-40 inches at the crest.

After our current storm spins east, we can expect dry weather to return for a few days. There may be a shower or two with a weak storm around April 7th, but it looks like high pressure will take over, bringing mostly dry weather as we go into the 2nd week of April.
