North Bay Update: Dry Early Fall Looks to Continue

Share with Friends

It felt a bit like fall across the North Bay on Wednesday, thanks to a cool low pressure trough passing to our north.

Unfortunately, those cool temperatures won’t hang around long, and we should be back to the 80s and even warmer over the next week. By Monday the 30th high pressure looks to build in, giving us another run of temperatures well above average, probably the 90s.

Our next taste of fall may come around October 4th when the models suggest a cool trough will pass over California.

But, right now, it looks like rain will stay north of us. We’ll watch the trends.

Finally, current long range models suggest the West Coast could be drier than normal through much of October.

That doesn’t mean we won’t get any showers, but right now the models are hinting that it won’t be much. Of course long range models are notoriously unreliable, so we’ll keep our fingers crossed and watch for a pattern change that could bring us cooler, wetter fall weather. Stay tuned!
