Most Sonoma County Schools to Close through April 5th
With the arrival of spring break week, most Sonoma County schools have opted to keep their doors closed for an additional period, and possibly employ distance learning due to the ongoing coronavirus emergency.
Leaders of the county’s 40 public school districts are scheduled to sit down with county Public Health Officer Dr. Sundari Mase on Monday to discuss closures, and how long they may last.
The county Office of Education has recommended that schools suspend in-person classes through March 27th, and many have pushed the date further, to April 5th. Most of the large districts in the county have already sent out notices, and smaller ones are expected to follow suit.
Meantime, the City of Santa Rosa Schools and other districts are working on meal plans for students during the closures. Contact your district for details.

The following sites will provide, for all children under the age of 18, a drive-thru/carry-out lunch service from 11:30 am – 1:00 pm Monday through Friday, beginning Monday, March 23 (after Spring Break):
Elsie Allen High School – 599 Bellevue Ave

Monroe Elementary – 2567 Marlow Rd
Cook Middle School – 2480 Sebastopol Rd
Piner High School – 1700 Fulton Rd
Santa Rosa Middle – 500 E St
Lewis Education Center – 2230 Lomitas Ave
Burbank Elementary – 203 S A St
Brook Hill Elementary – 1850 Vallejo St
You may pick up lunch from any school for your convenience. Your child does not need to attend one of the listed schools to receive lunch but must be present when picking up lunch.
