HEAT BUILDUP REACHES PEAK FRIDAY. HEAT ADVISORIES ISSUED.

Share with Friends

Although Wednesday brought a distinct cool down, a rapid warmup will begin Thursday, peaking on Friday with Heat Advisories issued by the National Weather Service for the North Bay.

Looking more closely at what’s causing the spike in temperatures, a strong high pressure ridge will pass over NorCal Thursday through Saturday.

But this will weaken rapidly by Sunday and Monday, when low pressure pushes in, cooling us off pretty dramatically.

So, high temps across the region will pop up Thursday, Friday and Saturday into the 90s, which will be 10-20 degrees above normal for much of the North Bay.

Saturday will be hot, but by Sunday the dramatic cool down will be underway, with high temps once again around average for late May, in the 80s, with a further cool off to the 70s by Monday through Wednesday.
