FINAL STORM UPDATE: FASTER AND WETTER

Share with Friends

The major statewide storm that is bearing down on California will come in faster and somewhat wetter for the North Bay. That is the concensus of the model runs as the substantial storm makes its approach to the West Coast.

The storm has sped up and will now spread the first showers over the North Bay around 7PM Wednesday. The rain looks to continue all day Thursday with showers into Friday.

You can see the big moisture plume with this storm, aimed just to our south.

But all of the state will get lots of rain with the North Bay forecasts trending wetter over the past 24 hours.

We’ll stick with the European Model which has come in line with the other ones at forecasting from 2-4 inches of rainfall in the North Bay by Saturday, with up to 5 inches in the hills.

If you’re heading to the mountains for the President’s Weekend you probably don’t want to try it until Saturday. Up to 5 feet of snow will fall above 5-6K feet, from Tahoe to Sequoia National Park, on Thursday and Friday.
