Cooling Off Through the Weekend. Breezy to Gusty Northwest Winds Expected.

Share with Friends

Our hottest day of the week should be Wednesday before the North Bay cools off through the upcoming weekend. Cool low pressure will pass over the state from Thursday through Sunday, ushering in the change.

Highs will drop from the 90s inland to the 70s by Friday.

With the pressure gradients, winds will pick up from Thursday through the weekend.  The strongest winds are forecast to remain offshore.

Although the coastal waters offshore will see the strongest winds, gusty conditions will extend inland over the North Bay at times.

Due to rapidly drying conditions, the NWS is warning of a fire weather threat for the East Bay. No such advisory has been issued, as yet, for the North Bay.

Meanwhile, cool low pressure is expected to be with us through the first part of the coming week, with temperatures slightly below normal. High pressure should return around midweek, but no big heatups are in the forecast for the next week or more.
