Camp Fire Update
The Camp Fire near Chico has now grown to more than 70,000 acres, with 5 percent containment as of Friday morning. These photos show the extent of the blaze, which is burning west and is now approaching highway 99 in the Central Valley.
Schools are closed across Sonoma County, and unhealthful air quality is expected to improve somewhat late Friday afternoon.
