ANOTHER COOL BLAST COMING NEXT WEEKEND

Share with Friends

Spring weather is having a hard time getting established across the North Bay, and this coming weekend will bring another cold blast of air, with a few showers possible.

A cutoff low will once again approach Northern California from the northwest, dropping directly over the state on Saturday the 3rd and Sunday the 4th, and causing temperatures to plunge back to well below average for early May.

From Saturday through Monday high and low temperatures will be around 10 degrees below early May averages in many places.

If you’re headed to the Sierra next weekend that’s where most of the rain and snow will fall. Here in the North Bay we shouldn’t get more than a few showers through Monday.

After the low moves through it will trend warmer next week, but only into the 70s, and there are hints another blast of cool air may drop into the region around the 12th.

What seems most certain is that temperatures will stay very mild through the long range forecast, mostly 70s, with no big heat ups likely through mid May.

We’ll keep an eye on that and provide updates as needed. Stay tuned!
