A Quick Blast of April Showers
After a long winter of rain and snow across California, one last shot of showers will arrive across the North Bay late on Monday into midday Tuesday.
You can see the tightly-wound system just off the Pacific Northwest coastline.
We will be brushed by the very southern edge of this system as the cold front is washing out over California late on Monday and early Tuesday.
Monday night and Tuesday will be cool and blustery, but very little if any measurable rain is expected in our neck of the woods.
After that, the jet stream will pull north, and high pressure will build back in over California, with highs in the 70s on Friday.
After next weekend, there are no big warm ups hinted at in the long range, with low pressure expected to linger near the West Coast.
Too weak to bring any rain south (we’ll keep watching the trends), but strong enough to keep us a bit cooler than average for late April.
After a long, wet and cold winter, cool, pleasant spring weather is on tap for the end of April. We’ll keep you posted in the event the forecast changes in the coming days.
