The weakening storm that arrived across the North Bay early Friday overperformed, delivering generally a half inch to full inch of rainfall across the region. (Image 1)

Our next storm is spinning up off the West Coast, and set to arrive Saturday afternoon. (Image 2)

This storm is forecast to be stronger and push further inland, bringing a nice shot of 1-2 feet of snow to the Sierra. For the North Bay, we can expect similar rainfall amounts as Friday’s storm, generally a half inch to one inch. (Images 3-4)

It’s worth mentioning that a couple models, in their latest runs, have trended wetter for the late Saturday-Sunday storm. Here is the European model’s latest output. This puts a bullseye of one inch plus over the North Bay and much of the Bay Area. (Image 5)

And some of the other high resolution models like the NAM 3K are jumping on board. So be prepared for a moderate rainstorm late Saturday into Sunday that could drop up to an inch of rain, with up to 2 inches locally in the hills. (Image 6)

After this weekend, next week looks dry, with another possible storm moving in on Saturday the 11th. We’ll keep you updated.
