More Light Rain Headed In

Most everyone across Northern California was excited to see the season’s first rain arrive Monday morning.  Amounts across the North Bay ranged from less than a tenth of an inch, up to about a quarter inch, but places in far northern California and the Sierra received more than an inch.

And, ski resorts around Tahoe like Squaw Valley received their first real dusting of snow.

By early Wednesday morning another cool trough will bring more showers to our region, and although they will be light, the wetting will help to reduce fire danger, at least temporarily.

Two weather models show a good soaking to our north, with just a few showers for us.

Along with the showers, a reinforcing shot of cool air will keep our temperatures slightly below normal.  Here you can see our Wednesday cool down, and another arriving on Sunday.

So, a few showers will arrive early Wednesday morning, and more cool air by late in the weekend will keep our temperatures seasonal and pleasant throught the upcoming weekend.
